Big Air gets Brown the Big Gold!!! 30.07.2010 General News
Monster athlete, Jake Brown, has repeated as Skateboard Big Air champion, beating prohibitive favorite Bob Burnquist to earn gold Thursday night at the X-Games 16 in Los Angeles.
After Burnquist's attempt at the almost 'mythical' 900-degree spin (that' right, Birdman, kudos to you for making that one happen a few days ago during the Tony Hawk & Friends Tour), Jake snatched the gold as the Brazilian skater failed to nail the landing.
The Final was noteworthy for the appearance of several younger competitors, including 15-year-old Pedro Barros and 20-year-old Adam Taylor. Both riders completed only one of four runs, and while both showed promise, neither have a deep enough trick arsenal to contend for a gold yet.
The Australian skater wins the event for the second straight year, with a backflip and a 540-degree spin at 21 feet, 8 inches off the vertical ramp.

That's right Jake, keep 'em coming! Drinking all those 'BFC's of Monster Energy is definitely paying off!
